A broad range of expression is a hallmark of the EX series. Mu includes four facial variations: his characteristic sharp look, his smirk, his scream, and a version with closed eyes. It also includes special hair parts for replicating the appearance of his mask in the theatrical version. The mask can be fitted to any of the facial variations.
Unique to this figure are the four included variations of Mu's characteristic hair. One is designed to be used when his mask is fitted on. Two is "normal." Three is the "hair-tie type" used on previous incarnations of the figure. And four is similar to the type included in the APPENDIX version of the character, an "Athena Exclamation" version designed for squatting poses. In combination with the facial parts, you can re-create all sorts of situations from the show and films.
The EX version of Mu utilizes the EX series' hallmark posability to replicate Mu's calm yet active personality. Double-jointed shoulder and waist parts, in conjunction with the EX series' rotating waist, let you replicate his Athena Exclamation pose. The same pose that previously required combining the Saint Cloth Myth figure with the separately-sold APPENDIX parts is a built-in standard on the Saint Cloth Myth EX Mu figure!
New Options and Gimmicks for Each Character
The ram horns on the Cloth's shoulders can be exchanged with segment parts replicating the manga version of the character. The segments can rotate, letting you adjust their angle freely.
A ram's face sculpture is provided for the back when Mu is displayed without his cape. The ram's horns are attached with posable joints.
The set also includes Mu's trademark Cloth repair tools. They are all new, with different appearances than those of the Saint Cloth Myth version, and molded in diecast metal.
The freshly sculpted Aries statue. The EX version features a body that can be disassembled, simplifying the design around the ram's neck area. Panel-lining enhances the quality feel of the golden Cloth parts. In the series, the mask is housed inside the body, but the figure features an all-original rearward attachment of the mask. This continues the tradition started by the original Saint Seiya Cloth toys produced during the first animated series. And of course, manga version horns are included as option parts as well.
You can choose from two different attachment joints for the ram horns. One is a posable type as shown above; two is a fixed type with chrome plating that cannot be posed but has a beautiful appearance. This is an all new feature of the EX series.
