Finally! Kotobukiya has announced the release of Asuka in the fan-beloved test-type plugsuit from Evangelion 2.0! The most notable element of the new suit, the clear orange area, has been reproduced in a different material from the rest of the suit for a totally new color and feel, and the shading on Asuka’s belly and back have been meticulously recreated to really give the feeling of a transparent material! Of course the TEST printing on the chest, protruberances on the wrist parts and other characteristic details have also been perfectly reproduced! The green parts of the suit have also been painted with special fluorescent paint! They will glow under black-light for an amazing effect! Asuka’s hair has been created with special clear materials and looks as beautiful as ever.
The prototype was created by Tsukuru Shirahige - who also did the previous Rei, Asuka and Mari plugsuit figures from Kotobukiya. Look forward to seeing his delicate, elegant touch in this figure as well!
