Jensen Adam
Adam Jensen is the protagonist of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He is voiced by Elias Toufexis.Born in 1993 in Detroit, Michigan, Adam was adopted at age 5. He went on to join the Detroit Police Force at 21 in 2014, and then volunteered for its SWAT division 4 years later in 2018, Jensen rose to team commander of Team Two quickly. But his career ended suddenly two years ago in 2020 when he refused to follow a questionable order during an operation, known later as the Mexicantown Massacre, and quit the unit but for Picus, and most of people, he was fired. After that in the same year, he became a security specialist for Sarif Industries , who is assigned to protect a group of scientists in response to increased level of competition and shrinking marketplace. Probably in this time he fell in love with Dr. Megan Reed.
In 2027 he prepared security plans for Sarif researchers set in Washington D.C. when an augmented black ops team, The Tyrants, attack the research labs, a level of attention for which he and his team are completely unprepared. During his attempt to save Megan, Adam is nearly killed by the team leader Jaron Namir, whereas Megan is supposably killed.
A "generous donor" provides military grade Sarif Industries augmentations - including two mechanical arms, linked by metal bars sunk under his chest, a retractable head-mounted sunglasses and various prosthesis - which are installed by a Sarpatech technician, to save his life. He is then sent home to recuperate, struggling to come to terms with his body's fusion with machines. Six months later he's completly recovered and send by David Sarif to a Sarif Industries plant in Milwaukee controlled by a "Pro-Human purist" know as Purity First, lead by Zeke Sanders, to secure the prototype of the Typhoon Explosive System and release the hostages captured.
Today Jensen tends to be a loner, rather than a leader. He believes there are multiple ways to achieve a desired result, and instinctively looks for answers from himself first, consulting others only after his own ideas are exhausted. He is what you would call a 'working class hero:' dependable, resourceful, curious in a stand-offish way, with a streak of hardcore cynicism mixed in.
