Takashi is Akira's fellow psychic test subject. He exhibit a variety of paranormal powers which he use to influence the course of events to the best of his ability. While individually of lesser strength than Akira or Tetsuo, his combined effort proves decisive in the story's final confrontation. Physically, he resemble children with wrinkled face, white hair and blue-green skin.

Takashi is the first Esper to be introduced when he causes Tetsuo's accident in self-defense. He has the power to use psychokinesis.
