Yuurakutei Sukeroku

Yuurakutei Sukeroku (Hatsutaro) is a shin'uchi under the Yuurakutei name, serving under the then-current head, Yuurakutei Yakumo. Abandoned and penniless as a child, he found himself drawn to the rakugo theater under the tutelage of a mysterious figure named Sukeroku. He eventually becomes an apprentice to Yakumo under the name "Hatsutaro", serving in a dual apprenticeship alongside Bon, a shy boy with an injured leg. Having grown up on the streets and learning rakugo from both Sukeroku and Yakumo, Hatsutaro quickly rises to the top of the rakugo world, shaking up the status quo and causing rakugo to evolve.
