カール・フォン・デア・デッケン |
Karl von der Decken was a Free Planets Alliance soldier and a member of the famed Rosen Ritter regiment.
HistoryHistory
Von der Decken's early life is practically unknown, though his habit of clasping both of his hands after a meal suggests that he was of partial Japanese descent, or at least heavily influenced by Japanese customs.
Von der Decken joined the Rosen Ritter sometime before 791 UC and within a few years became skilled enough to be well-regarded within the regiment. He was often together with Walter von Schönkopf, Kasper Linz and Rainer Blumhardt and thus was dubbed as part of the Rosen Ritter's "Strongest Quartet".
In 794 UC, von der Decken participated in the Battle of Van-Fleet as part of the ground forces defending an Alliance rear support base in Van-Fleet 4-2. During the battle, he demonstrated remarkable shooting skill with his rifle by severing the wire of an Imperial wire guided missile launched from an Imperial Panzer IV. Later, he encountered Hermann von Luneberg, a former Rosen Ritter regimental commander who had defected back to the Galactic Empire. He engaged Luneberg in close quarters combat where he was eventually outclassed and killed by Luneberg.
