A self-proclaimed defender of Earth who believes it is under threat from Venusians. He is actually a manga artist under the penname Poetchi Kuwabara. He wanted to do sci-fi manga but was forced to draw moe manga by his editors.
SpoilerLater on, his dream finally came true and he started publishing a manga series called "Galaxy under the Bridge" using people from Arakawa riverbed as prototypes for the characters.
