Figure News: New Revoltech, Nendoroid releases now shipping
11 Nov 2010 02:29:19

For some reason, Kaiyodo and GSC seemed to be running into a few delays with items that were due out on November 1st. However, they've finally gotten their act together, and these items are now ready to ship! The first item would be...

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao Petit Nendoroid Set

Go on, choose a starter Pokémon. Will you choose Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle?

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao was something of a failure. Hobby Japan attempted to make it the next big thing via means of aggressive advertising, but this plan ultimately fell flat due to the fact that, to be blunt, the show wasn't very good. It was bogged down by a plot that frankly made little sense, and it couldn't decide whether to be a fanservice show or a harem comedy. Despite this, the show does have its fans, and GSC decided to offer them this Petit Nendoroid three-pack. From left to right, it includes taciturn alien-android Yuki NagatoKurone, rice-loving moeblob Keena Soga, and tsundere samurai Hattori Junko. They each include an alternate faceplate with a goofy look (a drooling face, a -.- face, and an angry yelling face).

Sci-Fi Revoltech Alien Warrior

"Hey. At least my head doesn't look quite so much like... yeah..."

James Cameron's Aliens is generally viewed as an action classic in much the same way that the original Alien was a horror classic. This figure reflects that contrast with the more dynamic design from the second film - whereas the original Big Chap was more about slinking around in the shadows, these Xenomorphs are much more nimble, crawling on walls and leaping about. As a result, this Revoltech has a higher range of motion. But if you're not a fan of the arm-tubes featured on this design, there's also a second set of forearms that are more accurate to H.R. Giger's designs. And while it's only tangentially related to the Alien franchise, the Revoltech Predator has been confirmed for a February release! But why don't we move on to something a bit less creepy?

Medicom Hone Koneko Plush

A plush? A cat? What are you!?

From Gainax's new show Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt comes this replica of Stocking's beloved Hone Koneko. In addition to being simultaneously adorable and slightly unnerving, this tubby Hone Koneko (Bone Kitten) has a zipper in his back, so you can store things in him! Of course, a big plush means high shipping costs...

So, is anyone ordering any of these items? If it weren't for that shipping cost, I'd be tempted to grab the Hone Koneko...
