Figure News: Update on Figma KOS-MOS, also RODO ROLLA DA
06 Oct 2010 19:21:02

Hallo, everynyan. Today, Max Factory unveiled more information on a highly-anticipated Figma first unveiled waaaaay back in February. It's...

KOS-MOS, from the Xenosaga series! I honestly never could get into Xenosaga, and I'm gonna be blunt here and say that I know next to nothing about KOS-MOS. So please don't be offended if I get the names for her weapons wrong.

"Who touch my gun!?"

The first weapons would be a pair of huge gatling guns, complete with effect parts. However, the guns are rather heavy, so they include little peg-stands (unlike Black*Rock Shooter's separate stand-arm for her Rock*Cannon).

I see the Force is strong with this one.

Next up, we have the BigFriggin'Sword 5000, complete with fancy glowy blades. I have a feeling that six months or so after release, a lot of Figma KOS-MOS owners are gonna find that their figures have floppy shoulders from constantly holding big weapons...

"SASHA!"

The two weapons can also be used in tandem, albeit with the glowy-blade removed. In addition to all of these weapons and the usual hands/stand, there are alternate faces (including one with blue eyes, which I'm assuming is a reference to the games) and a hairpiece with a robo-eyepatch. Preorders for KOS-MOS open tomorrow, and she'll be out in February. Because of all the huge weapons, she'll have a 4800-yen price tag like Love Machine - is this dissuading anyone, or are they interested in the character or her accessories? Of course, if you need more over-the-top finishers, how about...

RODO ROLLA DA!

From JoJo's Bizarre Adventure comes this papercraft model of the road roller! It's a papercraft model that you build yourself, but it's made out of sheets of plastic (with some ABS parts like the steering wheel) so that your S.A.S. Dio Brando can ride on it! Now you can recreate one of the silliest, but most undeniably awesome finishing moves of all time!

Anyway, this road roller will be in the 1/12th scale, meaning that S.H. Figuarts, Figmas, and some Revoltechs can get in on the ZA WARUDO action, too! The set releases in December - hopefully, they might reissue the original S.A.S. Dio (my holy grail) to go with it. WRYYYYYYYYYYY!
