If there's one crippling flaw with the S.H. Figuarts line, it's the assortment of characters. Kamen Rider, DBZ, One Piece, and Pretty Cure isn't exactly an incredibly diverse bank of franchises. Well, Bandai is looking to remedy that by adding more franchises to its stable, including s-CRY-ed!
From s-CRY-ed comes a Figuarts of main character Kazuma. The figure is thankfully looking just as solid as any other Figuarts, with plenty of accessories. Interestingly, Kazuma was chosen due to a Tamashii Web survey asking what fans wanted to see a Figuarts of - other winners included the already-produced Nazca Dopant, ShadowMoon from Kamen Rider Black RX, and ShinkenRed, AKA the Red Power Ranger. Maybe one of these two is up next? If rumors are to be believed, Kazuma's due out in March.
Remember how I said last week that I'd love to see Heartcatch PreCure Figuarts? Well, it seems Bandai can read minds, because Cure Marine and Cure Blossom are getting Figuarts! While the figures themselves look wonderful, I'm honestly really disappointed by the lack of faces for Cure Marine. Anyone who's seen the show will know that Erika is the uncontested Queen of Reaction Faces, so to only include two faces is honestly something of an insult to her. I mean, they even included the Pooping Fairy Bunnies from Hell, but no unique faces!? Maybe they'll do a Tamashii Web face-pack like those Decade weapons in the future...
So, is anyone else excited about the broadening of Figuarts horizons? Which series would you like to see get Figuarts?
