Long Absence

Long Absence
20 May 2010 20:47:27

Hello again at long last, everyone! I apologize for being gone for so long. You guys probably thought I had left for good. ^^; A lot has happened since I was last here. I'm glad to see the site has grown so much and is doing well.

A lot has happened on this side of the monitor as well. I've done a lot of traveling between home and the boyfriend's house, with plotting and planning to get ourselves established out on our own. I now have a source of income of my own as well, which I must resist spending all of it on figures! It is difficult... That's not to say I don't have a few things pre-ordered anyways. ;) On order we have BRS figma & nendo, and the new version of Creators' Labo Rei Ayanami. As soon as anything Dead Master is up for order, I'll have that as well.

One thing that me and the boyfriend would like to do, before we move out and have bills and pets and other such things to worry over, is to take a trip to Japan. It's not anything immediate, but we would like to start planning for it. But well... we're both kinda at a loss for most things. If anybody could offer some help and advice, we'd both appreciate it very much. I'll be doing a bit of research, but would prefer to talk directly with a voice of experience. I've also got another friend I can ask, but wouldn't mind having a second opinion.

Well, it's good to be back. I'll get everything else up to date here shortly, and hopefully stick around a bit better this time. ;)

Hey Jobibi :) haven't seen you for ages. Glad to hear you've managed to get a job and your relationship with your boyfriend is improving. I've preordered BRS figma as well and waiting for Dead Master Complited Model to be announced :)

What about your trip and my experience ... ah, I've stayed in Okayama while studying. Not a place of big interest really :) I've also visited Kioto and Tokio which both obviously deserve visiting. Though I've never visited Japan as a tourist. I've heard stories that you can't just go to Japan on your own (sometimes even if you have friends living there) - either business or studying, or tourism which is probably quite expensive. I've also heard that many tours which include visiting several towns and other places of interest are being offered. BTW, I'm planning to take a trip to Japan as well - next summer, but for studying purpose.

Hello, Glory, it's nice to see you again as well. :)

I suppose in all rationality, my biggest fear is navigation. I've never really been in any sort of city before (well, there's a small one here, but there's practically no one there and it is rather small), so I'm a bit nervous about it. Maybe I can get a GPS that works there and sell it off afterwords? I'm also thinking maybe I could line this trip up with my other friend that's been before a few times.
