A header girl? Yes, I think we can call her a mascot. A friend of mine drew her for 'shelf'. Well, she doesn't collect figurines herself, so I didn't dare ask for several pictures, but she was very kind to present us one.

Should we think out a name for her? She seems to be a glitzy lady :) I've also noticed she looks playful and shy at the same time ^_^

She totally needs a name! I always pick what other people probably consider boring or outdated though(first name that came to mind was Agatha). The creators of the site should give her a name....Or a blog post where everyone types a name they like and we vote using the "good/bad comment" bar next to our avatars...?

не, пока работ слишком много, чтобы всё сканить-я состарюсь...но вот когда развеска будет-всё разом сфоткаю и выложу))
учиться сложно - мало того, что лекций дофига, так ещё по основным дисциплинам столько делать надо, что чуть ли не каждый день в 3 ложусь Т_Т (а когда шрифт делать надо - вообще в 4 или в 5)
а Ша я заказала с мейкапом default, глазки-ну какие положат...но вот костюм я ему заказала готишный))

Yea, I have only one nendo(Yoko nendo). My 1st one was actually Raito but I didn't know it was a bootleg so I guess it doesn't count.

Good luck in your exams! Which I believe it's somewhere around this month.
Updating about Moscow would be nice too, for people who have not been there before it's something new. And, no, it's different when you blog about it it's better than looking at random scenery pics or reading a random person's blog somewhere online.

That's great! I would like to stay next to Animate if I ever go there.
I have a hard time learning my kanji too. Why don't you apply for a language school there? Then you'll be able to stay for a year and maybe get a job there.

About Malaysia...hmm, I don't know what to say about the city but the most famous building here are the Twin Towers. It's summer all year round so it's hot here like 28-30 degrees. Malaysia is known for its beaches and FOOD! People come here to feast. XD
Your mom really is considering Malaysia? Will you be following her?

I saw your update, so your country celebrate X'mas on the 7th of January? I never knew that, Russia certainly is interesting. Then I guess my X'mas greeting isn't all that late.
I'm finally finished with the end of the year cosplay convention, I opened a booth this year so there were a lot of things to take care of.

About Malaysia's food, there's just too many to name. XD Since we have 3 main races in our country, Malay, Chinese and Indian food can be found everywhere. I personally like Dim Sum it's a Chinese breakfast delicacy.

It's a convention(Comic Fiesta 2009)where we have cosplay and doujin booths. My friends and I collaborated to produce an artbook so we were selling it then. It's our debut so it's rather unrefine. Spent most of my time shopping for merchandise, neglecting my duties with the booth. Can't blame me the stuffs there are too tempting. :x

Hey-hey! Not really. The last one I purchased was Asuka. The other two figurines I await now - Black Rock Shooter and Nendoroid Louise (an old figurine) - got stuck somewhere in customs office due to holidays 'traffic' :(
Vallefor took my camera, so couldn't provide any good photos of Asuka yet.
How is you? I still hope to have a look at the magnificent figures of yours :D

Hey, I made it to New Mexico alive. ^_^
I have a lot of unpacking to do and there's some work being done on my bedroom floor so I won't be 100% back to normal for a little while. Currently using my laptop. Won't be setting up my desktop until we finish my floor this weekend. Same with my PS3. Going to be a little while longer before I start playing Final Fantasy XIII. >_<

But yeah, I ended up driving a lot longer per day than I thought I would. Made the trip in two days instead of three. Did you get the message about Michelle that I sent you on MAL?

Well the drive from my parents' house to here was about 1400 miles which is about 2250 km. It's about 23 hours worth of driving. I probably should have taken 3 days to get here like I was originally planning, but I was really anxious to get the drive over with. I never got especially sleepy while driving and I had nothing better to do during the trip so it worked out. I just have really sore shoulders now from hanging on to the steering wheel for long periods of time. >_<

Don't worry about not getting back with me on it faster. It's understandable. But the main thing I really wanted to know is if you are okay with the names I used? I wrote a slightly shorter version of the story in the conversation about Michelle because Usagi asked about it and it was a little awkward writing it without using the parents' names or their last name. I also have a few new details in it that I forgot to include in the one I sent you. Haha, yeah, in that super long story I sent you I actually forgot to mention a few things! XD

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. Is it seasonal allergies or did you catch a cold? Don't worry about things here. I'm sure they'll be fine. Concentrate on taking care of yourself right now. :)

It's the pressure. We have somewhat -20 °C at night and almost 0°C during the day. The sun is shining like crazy. I have lots of things to do everyday, but usually I keep up just fine... but now I feel like I wake up already exhausted.

The story is really nice. I'm not in a imaginative mood right now, so I'm lucky to have you and other guys to give me a hand. The names are fine except maybe Alexander. I know you like it, but I can already predict Russian folks asking: "Michelle what? Alexander? Who is Alexander?". Awww... Just checked it by asking Vallefor :( He didn't get it :(

Awww, I know how you feel. I pretty much felt that way most of the time from a couple of months before I got out of the Air Force up until now. Mostly just felt a general lack of energy and these constant pestering little headaches. It sucks. Hope you feel better soon.

As for the last name, I couldn't think of any that myself that I thought worked very well. I'm actually kind of bad with naming characters (hence how often I borrow and reuse names). I was looking for a phone book to get some ideas, but couldn't find one. So I Googled "last names" and found a list of the 1000 most common surnames in America. I went through the whole list and here are 10 that I like and think fit well:

CUNNINGHAM

DRAKE
SNOW
DURAN
DAUGHERTY
SWEET
WHITFIELD

Hmmm, I think I like Cunningham best. The French style names seem a little too exotic to me for someone who isn't really supposed to be of any specific nationality. And I've always found those kind of names really confusing, like when I was watching Zero no Tsukaima....

Like I said, that list is my favorite 10 names out of 1000 so I'm perfectly fine with any of them. I think Vega is a very unique name and I do like the astral aspect of it.... Just looked up Vega on Wikipedia and I really like it a lot now. Fifth brightest star in the sky, brightest star in the constellation Lyra which is centered around the lyre, a stringed musical instrument, and one variant called the Byzantine lyra is actually something of an ancestor to the violin.... Yes, I say this should bring us to an agreement on this now. ^_^

Wow, thank you, you are so sweet! I noticed that this site is not very old at all, but it's quite good for it's age! Actually, my friend first mentioned it to me a while ago but I didn't really check into it back then. Did this site start as a mainly Russian site and then expand into English? Also, I quite like small communities ^^ I prefer them much more over large ones.

I am so elated that you have added a new category from my suggestion, you have no idea! It really makes me so happy. I am going to work on the database quite a bit in my free time to try and expand the site. You are too kind to be so lenient and I really appreciate it!

Of course I would love to become friends with you ^^ I am very shy but also friendly, so I love to meet others and make friends. What are your hobbies and interests, are you watching any new Anime right now? Right now I'm watching 'Working!!' and 'Heartcatch Precure'. Working is really cute slice of life Anime ^^ and Precure is one of the many sequels to Pretty Cure, there are so many it's hard to keep up lol.. but as a Pretty Cure fan, it's nice to look forward to every season ^^

I don't get to watch as much Anime as I used to ^^; not as much free time these days since I work so much and have to pay a lot of bills >_<

Hi Glory ^^

I was thinking that a new data box could be added for people who create database pages that would be of help to mods and to help move along the database quicker. This box could be called 'Source' and it's for the user to input the URL of a manufacturer or source page that contains the information they entered so that it can be approved faster. The box would be hidden from regular pages of course, only for mod view. ^^ Just thought of it at one point, that it might help.

Yeah, I have been suuuuper busy. Last year I started to run a community club called "Let's Split Boxes" which is non-profit for buying figures together at lower prices in a group. Like those trading figure boxes sets and stuff.. it ended up getting really a lot of work for myself hehe.

Ok, thank you ^^ Just thought of it and wanted to say. I noticed db takes a while sometimes to get approvals so thought that would help. If you ever need help with that lemme know ^^

Nope, she's my second. I can't say I'm much into dolls, just wanted to have a doll of our mascot.

When it comes to the approving of the new figures there was time when we didn't have enough ppl moderating the base, that's probably was the reason of delays. We managed to recruit more moderators since that time, so it should be better now.

And yeah, I know what does it mean - to have a lot of unpaid work, ha-ha. Though the feeling of doing a right thing can be much better than money sometimes :)
