Yoko Nakaizumi is Madoka's cousin who is a researcher on underwater archaeology and tried to prevent Madoka from coming into contact with the Vox. She gives in to Madoka's decision to pilot Vox Aura but only on the condition that Madoka is to continue with her daily life as usual.
