Kasuga was sent on a mission to kill Uesugi Kenshin. However, when she had her target in sight, Kasuga fell in love with Kenshin, and from then on Kasuga served Kenshin. The reason Kasuga returned to Uesugi after failling to assasinate him was because, for failling the assasination she was banished from her village. Due to the Uesugi's battles with Takeda Shingen, a rivalry grew between Kasuga and Sarutobi Sasuke. Kasuga is a playable in Sengoku BASARA 2, and shows much affection towards Usegi Kensin in the anime.
