Mio is a Demon princess, heir apparent to the Demon Lord position. She is the daughter of the previous Demon Lord, Wilbert, and is niece to the current one, her uncle Ramusas. She inherited her father's abilities after his death and became aware of her heritage only 6 months before meeting the Tōjō family. Jin Tōjō, Basara's father, unofficially adopts Mio and her succubus retainer, Maria, into their family. Maria tricks Mio into becoming Basara's servant through a magical Master-Servant Contract with erotic consequences for disloyalty. This does not please Mio, but she eventually develops feelings towards Basara.
