Now, when it comes to figures, January turns out a little boring. In fact, almost everything I had this month was this:

Customizable stage for figma and a clear case to make a di:stage clear box for display. Good news are that I finally came to something I've been planning since I've got the first di:stage some 6 month ago - to make an actual custom figma stand. Here:

Clear Case for Saber and Rin with sunset background. Sorry for the dust, it's inevitable U_U
View from above^^

Clear case is falling apart a little^^
So, in fact, the only actual figure I've got this month is Banpresto's Grand Line Men Red Haired Shanks from One Piece.

I think I should add him to the database, but, as usual for Banpresto's game prizes, there are no decent images... I guess I'll make them myself, when I have some free time.
That's all for January^^ Next month will be much better - at least, Movic Mio is on her way to me^^

Nice, I like the background, i've been planning on getting some di:stage but so many SHFs and Figmas on the way that I kind of save the cash for those.
Waiting for Yui and Reimu to arrive, SAL is such slowboat.
How sturdy is the plastic case di:stage?

Thanks.
It is not really sturdy... rather flexible. Nice thing is that all case details come with a plastic coating to avoid scratching. Before displaying, of course, you need to remove it.
And they put an actual di:stage with all accessories in the Clear case box. So you can just take the case, not bothering with original di:stages.

Neat! I've been meaning to do something interesting with my di:stages like this. I always end up just putting figuresclose together and using them up. :(

Same I did all this months^__^
One needs to be in right mood to be creative^^

Wow. I never knew that those things like your colored background exist. That's pretty amusing! But in my view, the whole idea of stages, cases, figma stands, sticks put into the back of poor figurines, etc. is kind of irritating. You know, unnatural. That's why I don't buy action figures.

This background, as well as the floor, I made myself. Found a picture on the web, resized it and asked the designer at our office to print it for me on our color printer.
Why is it unnatural? I don't get it.
It is all about the playing process. That is the fun of action figures - you can play and make it rather creatively.
I don't like statues as much as actions because of that - they are the details of your interior, not a TOY, how they mean to be.
That's why I don't buy many scaled figures - I treat them as any other interior decoration - that just MUST fit into the INTERIOR. Many beautiful figures just don't fit into my room - and I won't buy it.
I don't want my room to turn into an exhibition hall - it is hard for me to live on the exhibition.
But toys - they are toys, not statues. Thing to collect and PLAY with. I like to play. That's why I love them^__^

You made it yourself?! OMG! I didn't quite get it. You should have written it with capital letters or something. Then it's really great! You're very talented :)

Oh.. thanks, that's not quite IT^__^ When I will make a complete 2-storey live-stage for my K-On figmas, or a bus stop, or a bus interior (like my creative idol chikyuza-san (http://chikyuza.seesaa.net/) did, then it will be IT^___^

I know what you mean, having a clear stand or some prop to keep your figure up that's blindingly obvious kind of takes away from the aesthetic of the figure, but most figures like Figmas and SHF can stand on their own, or with the right camera angles you can kind of hide the stand display.
I'm like usagi_joou, I like playing with my toys, and as I love statues too, I like them for displaying since they are pretty, but I can't play with my statues (for fear of breaking them :P), but I can play with my figmas and SHFs and they are a lot of fun.

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand what you are trying to say.
If you are willing to communicate somehow, please address me in Eng or Rus!^_^
But I understand that you approved my post, so thanks for that!^__^
