Disappointed or underwhelmed With the Black Rock Shooter OVA? There still is hope. According to Danny Choo, there will be a stop motion short film animated by the people who made A Nightmare Before Christmas!

The animation will supposedly be included with the retail version of the BRS OVA.

Will this be what some of us were looking for with the BRS OVA or will it be another disappointment? Only time will tell.

Sounds nice, I like the idea that the film will be animated by the same people who made A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Really? I always felt that there was a slightly Burton-esque quality about B*RS's world.

But before people get their hopes up, they should be made aware of the fact that professional-grade stop-motion takes ages to do (i.e., studios can normally only animate 1 or 2 seconds a day). So it's probably only gonna be 2-4 minutes long.

Overall, though, while the Linkin Park has me a bit confused and concerned, I'm gonna try and remain cautiously optimistic about this.

That would make sense. Of course, now all the angsty adolescents will hop aboard the B*RS upon hearing that Linkin Park is involved, which will result in B*RS suddenly gaining a very large, very obnoxious fanbase. It'll be the next Haruhi, so bogged down by its fanbase...

Oh, come on - most of Linkin Park's fanbase wouldn't even know that GSC exists, let alone that you can buy Japanese figures online.

Unless this is paving the way towards an international campaign for GSC - first their appearance at that French con, now this...
