Hello everyone! I never got around to making a post for my figure order from last month. I was planing to talk about those items in my post about this months order. However this months order is sadly only going to be the CD single of Space Patrol Luluco's ending theme.
I absolutely love this shows ending theme. its has such a gorgeous lush sound to it. It was quite surprising to find out that it was made by Teddyloid as I haven't really liked anything he's done since the panty and stocking soundtrack.
The main item this month was supposed to be this figure of Rin from Bakuon. She was unfortunately delayed till next month, My July order is made up of smaller items and since I can't afford all of them and her. Rin was the thing that had to go.
As much as I like Bakuon it seems I sadly may not get any figures at all due to how expensive they all are. I thought about getting the figuarts because they are cheeper, however Bandai had to make Onsa an exclusive to their online store (they don't ship to the USA) She is important and I really don't want to go too out of the way to get her. Still... if they made a figure of Raimu and she wasn't an exclusive I'd totally get it, as she is the character I want an action figure of the most.
Anyways on to last month's order (May) The main item of this order was delayed (it was that same Rin figure!!) so this order was mainly two figures that I've been thinking of getting for a while. Figma Motoko and Figuarts Kivala as well as acrylic figures based on the Ninja Slayer anime.
This type of figure is perfect for Ninja Slayer due to the limited style of animation used in the anime. The big problem with these is their size, as you can see from the picture above they are very small and out of scale with most things.
It's interesting to compare the two action figures as they are very similar in design (girl in armored catsuit) but have very different implementation of their joints.
Motoko has the typical Figma set up but with enhanced shoulders that pull out for more range, very helpful with gun poses.
Kivala on the other hand has the same style of joints that male Kamen Rider Figuarts have and they work well here, however they are slightly restricted by the armor on her shoulders and hips so she is less fun to pose.
