Figma Black Gold Saw

Figma Black Gold Saw
12 Apr 2011 02:04:07

I got a bunch of new figures recently but before I talk abought the others there are some things I want to say about Figma Black Gold Saw as I found her to be somewhat disappointing.

The most obvious problem with mine is that she has a scratch on her belly (it's a defect in the plastic) close up it's really obvious, however from a distance it doesn't look too bad.

The rest of the problems are with her articulation. The biggest problem Is with her hips. On mine when you try to move them they seem to bump into her torso (often tomes they pop-out when this happens) some of the paint on her shorts has actually rubbed off because of this.

The other problem with her articulation (Im sure most people will have this problem) is due to the weight of her sword her wrist joints pop-out really easily.

However on the plus side her hair is the best implemented long hair on a poseable figure I've experienced the joints work perfectly and gives her head a great range of motion.

I'm really not sure what to think of this figure I love her design and she looks great on my shelf, but I'm really frustrated with these problems.

Also unrelated to my problems with the figure but I think these pictures came out great I think I might stick with these settings.

More pictures.

I'll post about the other figures tomorrow.

Great review!

I was pretty sure that they will provide her with some extra figma stand for her sword. It's obvious that her wrist joints won't stand the weight.. odd..

Don't really know why, but every time that I get to see that figma's close ups she's looks so dusty and the paint quality looks.. ehm.. not so good..

Yeah it seems her softer plastic parts attract and show dust really easily.

I'm pretty sure that applies to anything glossy and black, though. My OCC Birth and Figma Metis both have the same effect, as do my DS lite and PS3. I think that they don't get any dustier than anything else, but something about glossy black plastic makes the dust a lot more visible.

Cute photos, though the quality of the figurine seems not that perfect.
Ah, well, can't wait to get mine anyways.

Nice review as always, but if I want to ask two things.

Is BGS's hair sharp? I know, kind of a strange question, but some figmas have sharp hair. The other question is that do you plan on touching up BGS? (the part on her shorts where the paint rubbed off)

Olawdy, the Tsuruya-san Figmas can draw blood. Stick her head onto Revoltech Fulldrillized Gurren Lagann, and your hands are already dead.

I guess you could say it's a bit sharp but not really (her horns, feet, fingers and sword are just as sharp) and at the moment i don't plan on touching up her paint. (I'mnot really sure what kind to use anyways)

I have the same hip problem and loose hand that is suppose to hold the sword which i am unable to because it's loose, other than that there's not much problem.Hatsune miku HMO was much more of a disappointment that i decided to quit figure as a hobby.

hip joint problem, stand problem, loose hands, some loose parts.Stand problem is the most irritating,i can't push fit the stand in to the hole of the back of HMO so i have to push hard and it only goes in half way and always fall off when i give it a little jerk.I contacted amiami but they say that they would not send me a new one as they said that these problem are minor problems.

I have the same problem with her hands. And about the stand problem perhaps try asking about it on 4chan's /toy/ they seem generally helpful about things like this.
