Figure News: ThreeA Figure for Charity
17 Mar 2011 14:07:24

Just recently Ashley Wood announced that ThreeA will be selling a WWRp (1/12) Armstrong figure with all proceeds being donated towards the situation in Japan, and all of ThreeA's Japanese costumers will also be given one as a gift!

Some quotes from Ashley Wood's Twitter
"Even though toys and good gestures mean not much compared to Japans situation.
we at 3A are going to send all our previous 3A customers a special JDF WWrp Armstrong toy,"

"we will also sell for a limited time and give every $$$ to a Japanese welfare agency. I mean every $ "

"no costs covered our end !"

"to be clear, we are sending all our previous japanese customers a free toy, the rest of the world will be able to buy it"

"every cent, we are not covering costs on any of it, not even shipping !"

"they will be for sale soon as possible ! soon as I know ill twatter about it"

"its official name, WWRp JDF EMGY ARMSTRONG 1G."

The Armstrong looks like this for those who don't know. (the JDF will be colored differently.)

This is quite an amazing gesture from them. I'll definitely get one! Especially since I've been meaning to get a WWRp Armstrong. Anyone else interested in getting one?

I'll keep this post up to date when more info about him becomes available.

Update - "the JDF Armstrong sale is the 29th of march"

Update - This is what it looks like, but still no word on the price.

Update - Final Info "Onsale only at bambalandstore.com, for $55 usd, shipping is included in that price. Every $ made goes to a Japan quake relief charity ! there is a limit on how many we can make, so once they are gone, they.. gone ! So if your into helping a good cause and getting a damn cool bot, swing by at 9-00am Hong Kong time on the 29th of March"

The Armstrong is definitely the most unusual looking of the WWR bots.
