I honestly never would of thought Dorothy to be made a figma; it was one of those characters where "I would love to have a figma of her, but I doubt people care about that show now" kind of characters.
Nonetheless, glad Max Factory decided to make a figma of Dorothy, and put some interesting designs into. My most recent haul is quite a important one, includes Dorothy, Kamen Rider Birth, and my favorite VN protagonist and neurologist: Makise Kurisu(tina).
For some reason I really like the boxes these 3 figures came in.
I'm glad Max Factory gave her a good selection of hands and alternate faces. The only thing I hoped they could of done better was that to make the cell phone hand or the Dr. Lepper hand separated. (She can't hold her cell phone and Dr. Lepper at the same time because they're both held by the same right hand)
Because fedoras go on anything...
Her poseability is somewhat hindered by her coat, but other than that she is capable of many poses. Her shoulder/arm joint is obvious, but I think it was done in that manner so her arms could be replaced with the crossed arms easier. Kind of a aesthetic feature, but her tie is made of soft plastic and her white shirt also seems to be made of a softer plastic. I should mention she does come with some interesting accessories.

Next up would be S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Birth (Akira Date, and later on Goto Shintaro) As a recent figuart, I'm glad to see the diecast come back. Has impressive poseability and balance, also nice touch on how all the little "capsules" on his armor is made of translucent plastic with sculpting on each one. He also comes with his default head, and his "charged up" head with the glowing visor.
OOO: I hate fighting invisible zombies, and they're all around us.
Birth: We have to beat them, and plus my boss would give me 100 million Yen if I keep up the good work.
OOO: ...
One thing I did enjoy is the parts for the gun can be moved around to recreate each mode of the gun.
Makise Kurisu: Get me Dr. Lepper right now! Not pepsi or coke, has to be Dr. Lepper.
Birth: Okay, fine I'll bring the right one this time only if you leave some for me.
Birth: Alright I got your Dr. Lepper. Oh yeah do you have a crush on Rintaro Oka- *gets smacked by Kurisu*
Makise Kurisu: *Takes the Dr. Lepper*
Birth: Come back with that drink! You said you were going to share it!
Makise Kurisu: You'll have to go back in time to stop me~♪
Lastly, Dorothy figma both surprised and impressed me the most out of these 3. I love the cold, robotic feel Dorothy has, if she didn't something would be serious wrong, but I wanted to point out how poseable she is. Now out of any figma that wears a dress/skirt, this one just surpasses all of them in terms of articulation.
Hey Max Factory! Are you listening?! Give the super flexible dress design to all future touhou figmas please, specifically Patchouli Knowledge or Yuyuko.
If you ever release either one in the future of course ;_;
Also kind of ironic how the cat's name is Perro, which means dog in spanish.
The mop seems like a lame accessory but, the thing actually has a joint of its own it's a nice touch. She only comes with 2 faces, both cold stares, just looking in different directions. The other alternate piece to her is the hair piece with the disk tray out to recreate some of the scenes from the show.
Lastly, I wanted to make a quick size comparison of all 3 figures. I should of added more figures, but oh well.
