Halloween costumes for figures and Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Oh tonight is such a grand night, where everyone dresses extra special. I thought to myself why not have costumes for figures too. I remember awhile back some simple paper craft costumes for figmas from the figma blogsite. The Halloween paper craft costumes were also designed by Masaki Apsy, the figma artist. I would like to share this neat stuff in my first blog, and I hope this is useful to someone; nonetheless the link to those figma costumes is right below...

Here is the instructions to make your own Ika Musume hat de geso~!

the result (My squid hat isn't the best example but... try it for yourself)

Have fun~

Ha-ha. Cute! But what's on Miku's head? Happened to become a lil too big, this hat? :D The other two look fantastic.
Happy Halloween! ^^

The squid hat was originally for Partio, but Miku's hair is so large that only the squid hat would really work. I did find that using a 7 x 7cm piece of paper works well on busou shinkis, and a 6 x 6cm paper works with most 1/12 scaled figures. Oh ya those measurements I listed pertain to the ika musume hat. :)

I was just going to ask what size piece of paper you used.

I used the 7 x 7cm paper for the squid hat because it fits better on the figures I own. The Halloween figma hats; you can just print it out normally without resizing or anything, and it should fit most figmas. However, there are exceptions like figma Miku, Aegis, etc. If the hats don't fit a particular figure, I'm sorry you might have to resize it.

Ok thanks. Sadly I absolutely fail at making the squid hats.

The thing with the squid hats is, the smaller the piece of paper you use; the harder it is to fold. I made ones large enough for myself first as practice before I started making smaller versions of it.
