Starting Off Summer With Some Swimsuits

Summertime is almost upon. When it comes to me and my anime fandom, there's a couple of things to perk my interest. First and foremost is convention season (more specifically, the two big anime conventions of the summer when it comes to the United States, Anime Expo and Otakon). While I'm more than likely going to follow the events of Anime Expo (more specifcically, the industry panels, the AMV's, and possibly the cosplay) online, when it comes to Otakon, this year's going to be my tenth year attending that convention (with me possibly doing a retrospect of some pictures that I've taken at the past nine Otakons as we get closer to the convention). The other anime-related thing to look forward to this summer is some more anime figurines. After all, not only would I possibly be buying some new figurines (and plushies) at Otakon, but also there's at least three figurines that I've pre-ordered, and possibly a few more that I may find online. To prepare of that, I've rearranged my Detolf cabinet again today in preparation for the new figurines. Of course, there's another reason for rearranging the cabinet as well: to make room for the two new figurines that I got today.
Recently, Hobbylink Japan, my preferred online shop for anime figurines, had it's first summer sale (I'm saying first because there's probably going to be more, if the spring sales that the site had were any clue). Of the figurines that were offered in this sale, the two that interested me were the swimsuit versions of Osaka and Sakaki from one of my all-time favorite anime titles, Azumanga Daioh. Being very tempting (and since I had plenty of money in my bank account, although I'm watching my spendings so that I can have some money for Otakon), I ordered the two figures, with me receiving them today.
Osaka. One of the two main "female" reasons why Azumanga is one of the greatest anime of all time (the other is Chiyo-chan, one of the cutest girls in anime).
Sakaki. The tall, sexy tough girl who in real life has a very soft side for all things kawaii (especially cats).
Nothing like enjoying a day at Chiyo's summer cottage, talking about hemorrhoids (I'm not making this part up).
