A Howling Good Time

A Howling Good Time

Remember in my last blog post that I had another Busou Shinki figure ordered, but I was saving that until it arrived at my home to talk about it since it was showing up later than the figures that I got last week? Well, the figure has arrived, so now I can talk about it.

Back when I looking the Internet for Busou Shinki figures to make up for me failing to pick up one that was on sale at Hobby Search, I noticed that Hobby Link Japan had this figure on sale. After debating about whether to get that or Pomock, I eventually decided to get both (with me ordering Pomock on eBay first, then waiting to order this figure on Hobby Link Japan until a few days later, since I was watching my bank book somewhat due to the busy two months that are ahead of me). After missing the package on Tuesday (as I had no idea that it would arrive that early given the delivery date listed on FedEx's site), I received the figure the following day. The figure in question:

That's right. Hobby Link Japan still had a few figures of Howling, one of the earliest Busou Shinki figures released, for sale.

Anyway, keeping with the spirit of my Busou Shinki posts, here's a few pictures of Howling that took.

NOTE: compared to the other girls, I didn't take that many pictures of Howling, with the reason being explained later.

Given how Howling is supposed to be dog themed, I wanted to feature her in a dog-like pose. However, since I was unable to have her on her hands and knees, this was the best pose that I can do that appears dog-like.

Howling in full armor. Sadly, making sure I had at least one picture of Howling in her armor was the reason for the lack of photos. as it took a long time just to fit the armor on her. Yep, Konami definitely got better when it came to the armor and display base of later figures.

My main pose for Howling, I wanted to do the full armor pose, but that wouldn't be able to stand on its own (and I preferred to use a later display base than put together the one that came with the figure) Luckily, I still retained the foot armor and included some of the weapons that came with the figure.
