The next week is going to be busy for me. There's two reasons for this. First, on Friday and Saturday, I'll be attending my final convention of the year, Anime USA, with me being very anxious about what will be in the Dealers' Room after having saved up at least $400 for the convention (you can definitely expect a report on the cosplay and my purchases sometime next week). Then, on Sunday, I'm going to turn 30. Hence, tomorrow (Tuesday), I'm going down to my local mall and finish up looking for gifts for my birthday (I already picked out for items already, with me trying to budget myself at $250).
However, my busy week actually started today when I received my latest anime figurine in the mail. This time around, the figure is of Kisaragi, the cute, cat-loving meganeko from GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class.
For those who notice, yes there's a few things from the promo picture of the figurine that's missing from my picture (in this case, the paints and some extra books). Rest assured that everything in the promo picture does come with the figurine. There's two good reasons why I didn't everything in the picture (and when I display it in my Detolf cabinet). The first reason is obvious: there's a lot of small pieces that come with the figurine, making it easy for someone to lose one (as an example of this, I had to look for the pail after I dropped it while transporting the figurine from my room to the cabinet downstairs). Hence, I decided to stick with the bigger pieces (and put the paintbrushes in the small case), and not bother taking out the paints. The second reason for this is the fact that outside of the book that Kisaragi is holding, all the other books are printed on the box that comes with the figurine and hence need to be cut out. Thus, I decided to leave them as is rather than try cutting them and possibly mess it up.
I can't wait for the weekend to come (as that's when the big stuff takes place). Hopefully, I'll be feeling better come Friday, since I have a cold at the moment (with me leaving work early today once I began to feel feverish).
