Well, some interesting photos have been popping up recently. If the figure depicted is real, then it seems that our next Nendoroid will be none other than TEH REI herself.


And there was much rejoicing.

However, don't start getting too excited just yet. We still don't know if this is a real Nendoroid, or just an extremely well-made custom. However, it was found on the Ameblo server, the same server than the official GSC blog uses, so it may be real. In the meantime, here are some more pictures.

So if this does turn out to be real, what other Eva Nendos would you like to see? Asuka and Mari are pretty much a given, but I'd personally love a Nendo Gendo, complete with parts to do "the pose."

EDIT: It turns out that this is a garage kit, made by a circle called Grande Works. Grande Works, however, also works part-time as a sculptor for GSC (they designed the Shana Nendoroid and the Bakemonogatari Petit Nendoroids, among others). Given GSC's good relationship with Grande Works combined with the fact that Eva stuff sells like hotcakes, a general release is almost guaranteed.
