What have we here? It seems that on July 7th of all days, Good Smile Company announced that they're finally gonna re-release the Kaito Nendoroid!
"Hell yeah! About time, too!"
Since the figure's initial release way back in February of 2009, demand has far outweighed supply, meaning that it was nearly impossible to obtain one for under $120.
This is the closest you're gonna get to a cast-off Kaito figure, folks.
Thankfully, though, GSC has finally listened to all the constant fan requests, and will be re-releasing him!
Miku's smiling 'cause she knows that she got four re-releases before Kaito even got one.
While it's not set in stone yet, it's pretty safe to assume that they're going to do an open run this time around, like the Figma and Nendoroid Black*Rock Shooter and Figma Mari. If this is the case, then there'll be more then enough to go around, meaning pre-orders won't sell out for weeks or even months.
"Attack, my pet!"
The ship date for the reissue hasn't been confirmed yet, but pre-orders go up tonight at JAPAN TIME (usually around midday JST) via the usual places (Amiami, Hobby Search, HLJ, the works).
Even Luka has already had a rerelease, and she isn't even a year old. Poor Kaito.
Does anybody plan on picking this guy up? I'm glad I waited rather than paying scalper-prices...
Remember, Kaito's minions are going to "recommend" you pick up this Nendoroid.
EDIT: Amiami put him up, and he sold out in minutes. They'll probably get more - surely GSC wouldn't be so stupid as to let K-On Syndrome occur all over again, would they? At least HS and HLJ won't run out for a while...
