Figure News: TAMASHII FEATURES 2011 COVERAGE
12 Feb 2011 00:41:01

Well, Bandai has gone off trying to be all independent-like again. Rather than showing off their wares at Wonder Festival like everyone else, they've created their own show! Tamashii Features revealed a lot of new products, but not in the fields you'd usually expect. Anyway, here's how this is gonna go - I'm gonna cut to the chase and provide all the pictures first. A big thanks to Hobby Stock, It'sAllTrue, and /toy/ for providing the images! After you've seen all the images, I'll provide a summary below with any significant information. At any rate, let's go! Prepare your wallets!

Notes:
-Very little was shown in the way of Kamen Rider Figuarts. The only new one shown was Kamen Rider Birth, whose picture I'll add as soon as I can find it.
-Likewise, the only new Robot Damashiis were the Mobile Suit Girl and Doraemon. Yup, Robot Damashii Doraemon. Never thought I'd be saying that. But there's also a Figuarts Nobita being made to go with him.
-A lot of old Figuarts (Cure Blossom and Marine, etc.) were displayed with fancy effect parts. Bandai has a habit of doing this, but they never release them. I skipped most of those images to spare you the CAN NEVER HAS.
-Yuki Nagato and Mikuru Asahina are joining the Composite Ver.Ka line, in awkward bootleg-power-loaders of their own.
-Not only is there going to be a Chogokin Combat-san to go with Hoihoi-san, but Persona 3's Aigis is joining the Soul of Chogokin lineup.
-LOTS of new D-arts (DIABOROMON, PALADINMON), as well as new prototypes of old ones (looks like Beelzemon still has his bike).
-Star Driver is getting lots of merchandise, including a Figuarts Takuto and Figuarts Zero/Chibi-arts/R-style figures of many of the female cast. Come to think of it, for a show about the "Galactic Pretty-Boy," Bandai sure seems to be taking the buxom-lass approach to marketing this...
-And lastly, the big one. Hot off the heels of Kaiyodo's announcement that there will never be a Godzilla Sci-Fi Revoltech, Bandai has announced a new super-posable line. Tokusatsu Revolution is starting strong with the King of the Monsters himself, followed by MechaGodzilla and multiple variants of the two! I hope these guys are in scale with the Sci-Fi Revoltech kaiju - that way, Bandai can handle the big guys while Kaiyodo gives the more obscure kaiju a chance to shine.

Anyway, how do you guys feel about these developments, from Diaboromon to Doraemon, from Takuto to Toku-Revolution? Sound off below!
