I was so busy studying / developing MyAnimeShelf recently, that I've missed fantastic news! Maybe I can't call that thing 'news' anymore... but, whatever!
AmiAmi has started selling overseas!
Have you heard about AmiAmi before?
I'll tell you anyways. In short, AmiAmi is one of the biggest online figure shops in Japan. According to what they say, AmiAmi served around 800,000 customers last year and now they have launched an English site for both international customers and domestic English native speakers! Yuppie!

I guess it happened about 2 weeks ago. Here is some extract from their faq:
- Paypal Payments only
- preorder cancellation is NOT allowed!
- processing is done during office hours on weekdays only
- some items are strictly for sale and use in Japan only
AmiAmi has a huge selection of goods and their prices are really good. I'm glad they accept Paypal payments, because not every shop deals with Russian cards (1999.co.jp for example).
I've also found they had been shipping only with EMS at first, but finally opened SAL shipping a couple of days ago. Here is the message:
Now we start to accept "SAL small packet registered" on trial to meet many customers requests.
Though we will add about 700 yen as the registered fee and our handling charge to the normal SAL shipping rate, the shipping cost of the items less or equal 2kg must be lower.
If you wish SAL Registered shipping, please write "Request for SAL Registered shipping if possible" when you order.
Please remember, "SAL Registered" may be more reliable than normal SAL(not registered), but not so much as "EMS" is, SAL shipping takes more days to be delivered, and SAL is not available for some countries such as Korea,Taiwan. Thank you!

Completely awesom! I'm at a loss of words, this is really super cool!! 0___0
Come to think of it... I could've waited for several weeks and THEN my Ginko would've cost me muuuch less.
But well, what is done, is done^^

While you so softly do sleep...

I'm sure their selection will expand later. With deals like what they have they'll be one of the biggest figure sellers overseas too. They'll embrace the new larger market and start forking out more goods! XD
