I'm so happy. Nendo Saber Lily isn't defective (gosh, this word is ugly) after all. All thanks go to pineappleskewer. She was brave enough to try switching Sabers fists. I suspected it to be possible, but couldn't make myself twist them off... and finally got help from one of 'shelf'-users. Ah, nice! いい気持ちだね!
Sorry if I have frightened someone with my previous post. That arms trick wasn't obvious at all and - as far as I know - lots of ppl got confused. Don't you think GSC should start printing instructions for their goods?
Well, I was thinking about outdoor photo-review, but it's very slushy and drearily in Moscow now. Nothing to do but get satisfied with a couple of quick 'made at home' pics.

That strange hand thought to have a defect actually should be used while recreating the pose of nendo's counterpart - a well-known 1/7 scale figure manufactured by Good Smile Company as well (Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~).

And her spare arm can be equiped with a fist holding sword.

Most nendoroids that have sleeves usually have interchangeable arms/hands. :3 An exception would be nendoroid Nagi since she wears a sleeveless top.
Sometimes nendo parts are hard to remove because the paint makes the part stuck o.o; you need to put a little force in pulling them out sometimes.
Now I really can't wait for my Nendo Saber to arrive OwO
Lovely photos by the way!

Photos need to be heavily photoshoped in order to look properly, but I want another background for her - that's why I gave up ^^ Btw, I can't wait to see how you are going to present her!

I think the background is lovely! I also think some desk lamps would help so it doesn't look too dark ^^ and don't worry, I usually use photoshop for my photos too... ^^;
Thank you! ^^ I can't wait to get her too!

After discovering the removable hands, I couldn't stop playing around with Saber, haha. I love her even more now and finally found the perfect pose.
Your photos are very cool, especially the last one! If you don't mind me asking, what are the backgrounds from?

Excellent, Glory, you gave me an idea of how to photograph my figure. :P

Unfortunately, I don't dare play MMO's, since I'm sure I'd give up sleep in favor of playing. :P I have been playing console games for as long as I can remember though! Are there any other games you enjoy?

Well, I used to work as a journalist (and writer) for a computer games magazine. So... when it comes to games, I suppose I can say I'm pretty well-informed. Unfortunately I don't have much time for games now. Though it doesn't prevent me from worshiping my Play Station 3 console. And which one did you choose? Xbox? Nintendo Wii?

I've been a big Playstation fan since it first launched, so I own a PS3 as well. I knew my favorite games would be going there and I expected it to have many RPG's. Right now, I only own three games: Metal Gear Solid 4 (which I've played to death), Devil May Cry 4 and Folklore. There is a whole list of games I do want to play at some point! I keep spending all my extra money on figures. And, now that I have to take care of my Mom, I'll probably have to cut back on figures as well. However, I will somehow make sure I get Bayonetta when it's released here. I made a Japanese account on my PS3 to downloaded the demo...so much fun!
What games have you played on PS3?
11 Nov 2009, 01:12:05
LOL, but I have played nothing from your list :) Although I heard all games you named are really good. Amid what I own my favorite in undoubtedly 'Uncharted: Drakes Fortune'. It has not only graphics, but also a nice plot and truly touching characters. I've also enjoyed 'Heavenly Sword', 'Army of Two', 'Little Big Planet' and 'Soul Calibur 4'.
Just watched several youtube videos taken from 'Bayonetta'. Impressive! So dynamic! But cutscenes su.. emmm, look terrible! Are they going to work a bit more on them?

Heavenly Sword and Little Big Planet have been on my list for a long time. Oh, everyone is talking about Uncharted (the second one) lately! It's making me want to play both to find out what's going on. Are there any games you really want to play? For me, it's Assassin's Creed. It feels like that game just came out, and now there's a sequel!
Could the Bayonetta cutscenes be from earlier trailers? I remember a few having some really wonky looking scenes that made me "Gugh!". I have been watching a walkthrough (can't wait to play ]: ) and everything looks pretty darn nice so far.

And... actually I want to prevent you from buying Assassins Creed. I saw it on PC – it’s terribly boring! You could be exited with jumps (and other acrobatic stuff) at first, but believe me – you'll become bored with its identical missions after an hour or so. Hope you won't get angry with me after hearing this :) Better buy Uncharted ^^ I recommend to start with the first one. It's not a new game, therefore I believe it also could cost cheaper.
I'm not sure about when the trailers were made, but well, Bayonetta is smexy anyways. Since Vallefor is going to buy it, I'll have an opportunity to enjoy this charming game ^^

After watching Bayonetta trailer I got a strong intention to play it :)

The first part was great, but then you play Dante and you go through the same levels backwards?! What bothers me the most is after Nero fights the bosses, Dante goes back and fights them again...? What's up with that? I thought I just took those guys out! But wait, after getting to the board game you fight the same three or four bosses again!
To me, it was like a big slap across the face. They gave us half a game, and it was like they thought we were dumb enough not to notice.
I also don't like how Gloria wasn't a new character. She seems like a wasted character because of that twist, haha. Actually, she reminds me a bit of Bayonetta with those stylish moves of hers! :P
Anyway, sorry for the rant! DMC was my first PS2 game and is still one of my favorites, so I expect a lot of the series, hehe.
16 Nov 2009, 21:56:08
Yes, that was a crap idea to make us finish the same levels twice. But you can use different skills! ^^
Btw, have you played on a difficult level where number of monsters becomes 20 times higher? :D
