Yet another set of figures that I had no idea where the character came from. This one's original series, Penguin Musume Heart isn't as questionable as where Ellis came from, but it's still quite risque. There are series of short anime episodes as well as manga for this one, and both of them are somewhat enjoyable (out of this world, sort).
My ex and I argued fairly extensively over which one to get. She was opting for the maid, while I was more attracted towards the goth-loli yukata. Since I was buying, I ended up with the goth-loli yukata, and I certainly don't regret picking it up. It's not quite as fluid as some of my other figures (a rather generic pose), but the curiously-designed yukata is portrayed just as I expected.
However, I must admit that Alter's figure is much more true to the character presented by the original series. The face on my figure utterly fails to reflect the personality Nankyoku Sakura actually represents (which you'll notice almost instantly once you watch/read the series, it's pretty obvious).
I still like the figure, apart from the series though, and in the end that's all it matters, isn't it?
In other news, a friend of mine offered a free subscription for a month to WoW, so I've been enthralled by that offer. Much less frequent updates for a while :(

Btw, was it your ex who brought you into the world of figurines?
While you so softly do sleep...

And yeah, it was my ex. I had this social barrier that kept me away from figures until my ex broke it to pieces. Now I'm almost an addict :/ My wallet's definitely suffering...
No one can escape the sin that flows in their veins
