Summary:
Bakemonogatari centres on Araragi Koyomi, a third year high school student who is almost human again after briefly becoming a vampire. One day, a classmate named Senjougahara Hitagi, who infamously never talks to anyone, falls down the stairs into Koyomi's arms. He discovers that Hitagi weighs next to nothing, in defiance of physics. After being threatened by her, Koyomi offers her help, and introduces her to Oshino Meme, a middle-aged homeless man who helped him stop being a vampire.In each chapter of the series, he encounters a different heroine, each involved with a different "apparition". The events of the previous chapters play an important role in the subsequent ones. The series primarily focuses on conversations between characters; it contains a fair number of parodies of other series, as well as Nisio Ishin's trademark wordplay and metahumour.
The television run of the anime ended on September 25 with the 12th episode, "Tsubasa Cat - Part 2," but the official website confirmed on September 25 that Parts 3 through 5 will be distributed online, one episode after the other. In a July interview, director Akiyuki Shinbo mentioned his plans to animate 15 episodes. However, the Japanese broadcasting schedule usually allows only 12 to 13 episodes per cours (13-week block). Because of this, Shinbo said that the staff at the SHAFT anime studio would probably air the first 12 episodes, and distribute the remaining three episodes on the official homepage for free.

Anyway, I loved the series and its characters. It's hard for me to pick a favorite arc, though. It's actually easier for me to pick a least favorite arc: Nadeko Snake. Sorry, Nadeko was really cute, but the arc really didn't hit me as hard as the rest of the series. It was still great, it didn't really drag the series down for me, but didn't have quite the same impact and wasn't quite as memorable as the other arcs, at least it didn't after the first watch through. I really want to re-watch the series in one go after the last two episodes come out. And yeah, Suruga Monkey was really good, awesome action. But episode 12 was my favorite single episode in the series so far. I really love Senjougahara and one whole episode of nothing but her interacting with Araragi was just priceless. :)

Oh, and I can barely remember what happened in episode 13. That's not good. All I really remember is the Cat and stuff (spoiler tags!). Ahhh, I really want episodes 14 and 15 to come out. -_-
Well, I didn't get such feeling when I was watching Haruhi.
Btw, Nadeko has successfully made it to the contestants group in ISML. Poor Senjougahara!

Anyway, back on subject, that's a really funny perspective to take while watching Senjougahara, but it does kind of make sense. Of course boys on the other hand can identify with Araragi and therefore we get a much more fun perspective. :)
And yeah, I already talked about the final Round of Phase I in your ISML post. If Senjougahara doesn't make it into a Contestant spot in one of the next two Phases, I might really cry. :(

Well, in brighter news I got to watch episode 14. Not really the best episode in the series, but it had its amusing points. Hopefully episode 15 will finish on a strong note and I can happily re-watch the series in one go when all of the BD versions come out. ^_^
