Summary:
Heidi is a 5-year-old girl, whose parents died when she was only one. Although her Aunt Dete has since cared for her, Heidi has led a very lonely life as she's been given to one person or another to be cared for. Now her aunt is tired of the burden and has left young Heidi with the care of Heidi's grandfather who's also known as the Alm-Uncle, a mountain hermit, that is feared by the village folk. With Heidi now living in the mountains with her grandfather, her life begins to change as do the lives of her grandfather and the 11-year-old orphan, Goatherder Peter.Comment:
Based on the books by Swiss author Johanna Spyri. In March 1979, an Alps no Shojo Heidi movie was distributed. It was composed of retouched scenes from the tv series with new voice tracks.
